Squirrel Homes

We have been asked by the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic in High Ridge to build squirrel cages.
Basically we will be given a bunch of the wire “fencing” and we will need to measure and cut it. Then bend them into shape and close them with clips. Each Cage will need two holes cut into them, one for their hiding house and one for the door for the humans to get in and out of them. Each cage is about 4 1/2 feet tall and 2 1/2 feet wide. They are basically giant rectangles. We would only need wire cutters and pliers as tools. It would be helpful to have a few of each so that most of us have a tool.

We will meet at at Grace United at 2 pm on Sunday, March 9th and carpool to Camp Wyman to build the Homes.

  1. I am SO proud of our Crew for taking the initiative to do things such as building squirrel cages and folding cranes! This is one of the primary reasons that I chose to start the Crew in the first place!
